Nevyn Gurney

Nevyn has danced since the age of 6 and is trained in Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Ballet, and High Kick.  She danced competitively, in both the all star and studio level, for 12 years with Studio 22 High Tek in Chicago, Illinois and for 3 more years after that on her high school dance team, the Maine South Hawkettes.  Throughout her dancing career, she has achieved various national and international accolades including winning the UDA National Championship in 2022.  As well as competing, Nevyn has had incredible dancing opportunities including dancing in the half time show for the Chicago Bulls.

Currently, Nevyn is studying psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder and after taking a few years off of dancing to focus on school, Nevyn is excited to get back into the dance world and reignite her passion for dance and teaching dance.  She is excited to empower her students and create an environment where dancers feel comfortable to take risks and grow as both dancers and people!
